2023 Planning

The Roger Moore Chapter is supporting two habitat locations  both are located on state land in Northern Michigan. The main goal of these projects is to establish and maintain hunter walking trails through a diverse mix of cover types while enhancing wildlife habitat for a suite of wildlife species with a focus on grouse and woodcock. The establishment of small wildlife opening through rehabilitation of former well sites (including invasive species control), planting of native wildlife trees and shrubs, and continued young forest management will be the primary habitat management focus for these sites.

For more information contact Janet Huff 586-615-0331 or Kevin Stewart 810-516-7068.

Your input is requested. These surveys are open until September 17. The link however, is always active and provides information about the Pigeon River.
